Everyone is welcome to join Shoalhaven Heads Surf Life Saving Club. There is something for anyone and at any age at the Heads and it’s a fun way of giving back to your community as a Patrol volunteer, Junior Nipper or club supporter while gaining and sharing skills and making new friendships.

NIPPERS Register your kids 5-13 for Nippers and get them involved learning about beach and ocean safety, surf swim and board skills and surf sports, become a General Member as a parent and join up the whole family! Join as a Cadet life saver 14-17 or adult member 18+ and complete your Bronze Medallion to join our patrol teams as a Life Saver or to do Water Safety as a helper for Nippers. you’ll need to do basic Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC). You can also become a club supporter as an Associate member and help us in other ways off the beach and out of the ocean.

We have a club “parent joins too” policy for Junior Nippers Activities where parents/carers must also register as a club member.

Senior Patrol memberships and registration of trainees for Bronze Medallion 15+ or Surf Rescue Cert 13+ courses can be made at any time throughout the year and we will advise of the date of the next course.

SLSA MEMBER INSURANCES – No member, adult or junior, participating in activities is covered by SLSA insurances until all registration admin requirements are complete and your membership or renewal accepted by the Club Board. This includes the online registration, payment and supplying proof of ID age documents for all members, plus additional criteria for patrolling members.

  • * Due to changes in the NSW Government Active Kids Voucher scheme if you are using this for a child’s fee this can only be redeemed by registering in person at the club. Check with club registrar before you make any other payments that are due for members not using a voucher.
A voucher can only be used for the named child and not for any other item eg: uniforms

IMPORTANT-If you are first time club member(s) you will need to provide an official gov proof of age ID document for each member (drivers licence/passport for adults16+) and by birth certificate for juniors 5-15 and have this checked at the club. We do not record that information.-we just have to sight it to confirm that the registered age matched the membership registration. Do not send any document by email. If requested by the club registrar existing members may be required to update records.

We process all memberships on Thursdays so please get your online rego/renewals in before 1pm. In the busy start of season period, it may take 2 weeks to approve requests, and longer if yours is an inter club transfer to Shoalhaven Heads that requires release by Branch or State.

You are not an accepted member of Shoalhaven Heads SLSC Inc until you receive final confirmation of your club membership via email from Shoalhaven Heads. There can be no participation in any SLSC activities until your new membership or annual renewal is accepted by the club. This is a SLSA insurance requirement

Use the SLSNSW IT Support You Tube guide for assistance to renew your existing membership or to sign up as a new member for the first time. There is also a help link from the online form pages
