End of Season 2019/20

The 2019/20 patrol season official end is Anzac Day weekend and usually marked by lowering of our flags on the final patrol. The constraints of the COVID -19 pandemic meant that Surf Life Saving Australia and  Surf Life Saving NSW made the decision in mid March to cease all club based patrols by our volunteers. This decision was endorsed by our club committee and the South Coast Branch of Life Saving executive and so our flags were prematurely lowered at that point.

Our club committee continues to work on season end management operations and pre -planning for next season. We welcome any suggestions and hands on help from members to assist in program delivery whether for patrol or Nippers or maintenance of our equipment and member areas in the club building or with admin and club archives.

Nippers end of season presentation and family BBQ was cancelled as is whole Club Presentation Night . The committee is still going ahead with nominating  our honour members for this season and these will be announced in a digital format soon. We will plan a club  social event later in the year to celebrate everyone’s achievements when government COVID restriction policies  allow for this .

SLSNSW and South Coast Branch have an established emergency call out team which will continue to respond to coastal marine incidents so the community is asked to remain alert for anyone in danger and call TRIPLE 000 for response by Emergency Services
