The Surf Life Saving Australia Nippers program is designed to teach children between the ages of 5 and 13 years of age, the basics of surf beach and open water safety, helping kids gain a basic knowledge of water safety, which is vital when swimming at the beach.

Nippers activities are based around  Surf Life Saving Australia’s National Surf Education program structured specifically to the ages and abilities of the children by gradually teaching them the  basic lifesaving skills required to be safe around an aquatic environment as well as developing their skills and confidence to compete in surf sports in an environment which is fun, encouraging, inclusive and SAFE. They also learn about managing the beach environment and some basic first aid skills. Check out the other tabs for information about Nippers age groups , water skills evaluation , Surf Education Awards and Age Managers
