Shoalhaven Heads SLSC welcomes all community members to join our family friendly and inclusive club .
UPDATE 17 Sept 2021: Due to continuing NSW Health restrictions on our locality which also prevents participation in Community Sport (including SLS activities) we are delaying registrations for Junior Nippers and other new member categories until future dates TBC .
Current patrolling members please renew before your first patrol or by 30th Sept 2021 to comply with SLS insurance requirements
Senior Patrol memberships and registration of trainees for Bronze Medallion or Surf Rescue Cert courses can be made at any time throughout the year
COVID – We have policies and procedures in place for maintaining safe activities for all members of the club that reflect current multi government advice and developed in partnership with Surf life Saving Australia and Surf Life Saving NSW our governing bodies.
We have a club policy for Junior Nippers Activities that at least one parent must also be a club General Member .
All memberships are done online through the Surf Life Saving NSW website .If you are a new member or renewing member use the portal links at options 1 or 2 below.
If you need help using the online membership portals please refer to SURF LIFE SAVING MEMBERSHIP USER GUIDE. If you have ongoing issues with registering online you’ll need to lodge a service help request to the online SLS IT help desk. JOIN AS A NEW MEMBER/ RE-NEW YOUR EXISTING MEMBERSHIP ONLINE
1.NEW MEMBERS (who have never been a member of any surf club in Australia even as a nipper)
At the first page after clicking on JOIN select : Surf Life Saving and our club: “Shoalhaven Heads” then follow the process .
Families can make rego easier as there is option to group your family together under a primary registered member .
You’ll need to create a member user account profiles for each adult and also for senior Nippers/Cadets 13+ doing the Surf Rescue Cert or Bronze Medallion Patrol Awards. This login will give you access to update basic personal information and access member-only organisational and training resources relevant to being a member.
2. RENEWALS FOR EXISTING/PAST MEMBERS
If you haven’t already created a member user account in a previous season you will need one this year.
3. FEES and PAYMENTS FOR MEMBERSHIP,TRAINING,CLUB UNIFORM,CARNIVAL ENTRY AND CLUB SOCIAL EVENTS
All membership fees must be paid at time of registration when you complete the online enrolment. The fee amount includes a Surf Life Saving Capitation Fee of $17.70

NSW ACTIVE KIDS VOUCHERS are accepted for Nippers and Cadets 5-18 in full time education if eligible. The value in the payment option is the full voucher $100.The club cannot do refunds for any voucher payments .
No adult or junior member is covered by SLSA insurances until all admin requirements are complete. This includes payment and supplying proof of ID age documents .
Each membership application for 2021/22 will be reviewed by Club Board of Directors prior to approval. You are not a member until confirmation of your club membership is received by email/sms
HOW TO PAY
a) Use the Payment Option tabs in the new member rego portal or, if a renewing member, in the members area portal.
There is a link to a club price list. “Shoalhaven Heads” is the selected entity to pay then list in detail each member and items you are paying for .

4. CLUB UNIFORM CLOTHING
Each Junior Nipper must buy compulsory safety clothing and wear at all sessions
1. Water safety rash vest @ $20
2. Nipper age cap @ $15
Each Bronze and SRC trainee must buy a compulsory water safety rash vest @ $20
A range of optional club clothing and patrol items will also be available through the clothing store at the club on Sundays 8.45-9.30am
5. BRONZE MEDALLION AND SURF RESCUE CERTIFICATE COURSES -Fees TBC
Course includes access to online learning course + on completion first basic patrol uniform (shorts, shirt and cap) and the annual member fee,
Cadet trainees 13-18 can use a NSW Active Kids Voucher if eligible for 2021/22
All course trainees must purchase a fluoro water safety rash vest @ $20

- CREATE A MEMBER USER ACCOUNT
- CREATE USER ACCOUNT . You must use the exact name and email address/mobile phone number you used on your membership rego. ie: don’t use your nickname if you registered in your birth name. If you are unsure of these we can check the SLSA member database so contact email@example.com
- PROVIDE AN OFFICIAL GOVERNMENT ID DOCUMENT SHOWING DATE OF BIRTH

SAFEGUARDING CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE
SLSA is a strong advocate for keeping young people safe in our club and community and has extensive policies in place to protect all volunteers and members . Some club members helping regularly in roles with juniors are required by the Club Executive to register for a Working With Children Check (WWCC) for volunteers in line with Surf Life Saving NSW Safeguarding Children and Office of the Children’s Guardian policy.
All MEMBERS ARE EXPECTED TO FOLLOW THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF MEMBERSHIP AS SIGNED WHEN REGISTRATION IS COMPLETED ONLINE (or as a manual form) & ACT in ACCORDANCE WITH THESE STANDARDS & WITH SHOALHAVEN HEADS SLSC INC CONSTITUTION & BYLAWS.
